PE is sorry to inform you that our long time associate, Khoo Khay Jin
passed away on 22nd December 2011.
Khay Jin was a committed social scientist, thinker and public intellectual.
As an academic, he has contributed numerous scholarly works on
Malaysia. Khay Jin has left his mark in many places, enlightened many
by his writings and by those that have drawn from his analyses and
insights, without knowing that it had come from him. He has also done a
lot of research in bridging the gap between the urban and rural people,
especially for the Penans in Sarawak.
He will be deeply missed by colleagues, friends and family.
