Review of National Physical Plan (NPP2) (2009-10)
This study for Jabatan Perancangan Bandar dan Desa Semenanjung
Malaysia was to review the NPP1 and investigate how effectively national
physical planning was being translated and applied in practice by examining
the general compliance of various regional economic master plans, state
structure plans and national sectoral policies, strategies and programmes
prepared, particularly the integration of national sector. Spatial solutions,
policies and implementing mechanisms which could contribute to the
delivery of the sustainable communities and places were proposed at the
end of review. PE Research was responsible to undertake the studies for
economy, manufacturing and biotechnology, and demography.
Eastern Corridor Development Master Plan Study (2006-07)
This study for PETRONAS was to prepare a Master Plan which can act as a
blue print to guide the development of the Eastern Corridor region up to
2020. This entailed proposing initiatives and programmes to stimulate the
investment climate in the Eastern Corridor in order to attract investments.
PE Research was responsible to undertake the studies for the
manufacturing sector in this region.
