  • Furniture Survey 

This 2001 survey for MFI International was to find out the spending patterns of consumers in the Klang Valley with respect to kitchen and bedroom furniture. 

  • Feasibility Study for Setting up Warehouses/Third Party Operator 

This 1997 study for the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) was to investigate the feasibility of setting up warehouse/third party logistics on FAMA's vacant lands.  This study consisted of two parts, namely market analysis, and investment and technical analysis. 

  • Danang Export Processing Zone Study, Vietnam 

This study for Masscorp and the Vietnamese JV Partner was a preliminary strategic marketing analysis that looked into the supply-side and demand factors impinging upon the setting of an EPZ in Danang, Vietnam.   Primary field interviews were conducted among Malaysian companies and information was gathered from secondary sources.  Assessment and recommendations were made for further strategic decision-making analysis to market and promote the EPZ.

  • Customer Satisfaction Survey (1997) 

This market survey on customer satisfaction for Philips Consumer Products (Sound & Vision) assessed the satisfaction level of its main customers and dealers in Peninsular Malaysia through interviews based on product range, product design and after-sales service provided. 


ICT Surveys Profiles  
  • Survey of IT Training in Public and Private Institutions of Higher Learning in Malaysia 

This 2000 survey for the Multimedia Development Corporation & Ministry of Education was to update the current profile of private and public institutions of higher learning, and to enumerate and estimate IT enrolment and graduation in 1999.   It also projected the IT enrolment and graduates in institutes of higher learning for 2000-2004 (i.e. 5 years). 

  • Study of HR Requirements to Support the Application and Diffusion of IT in Malaysia 

This 1998 IT workforce survey covering 1,500-2,000 enterprises encompassing all sectors of the economy was carried out for the Economic Planning Unit and UNDP.  The aim was to provide Malaysian policy makers with the necessary tools required for effective policy planning, formulation and assessment with regard to IT and IT-related human resources requirements and policies, to support the application and diffusion of IT in all sectors of the economy and society in Malaysia. 

  • Survey on the Prevalence of Teleworking in Malaysia 

The main objective of the 1998 UNU-INTECH survey was to find out the prevalence of teleworking in Malaysian firms and establishments. The sampling frame was stratified with a quota sampling method being used to control the numbers in the sectoral booster samples.  The interviews were conducted via the Internet and telephone..

  • Forecasting S&T and R&D Human Resource Needs in Malaysia by 2000

This 1995 nationwide mail survey of firms that span the entire industrial sectors, both manufacturing and non-manufacturing entailed the generation of database, execution of survey, data entry, and data analysis. The survey was carried out on behalf of SRI International of New York for the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment and the findings of the study were presented at a seminar and workshop.

  • Advanced Manufacturing Technology Survey in Malaysia

A nationwide mail survey of manufacturing facilities across all industrial sectors was carried out in 1994 on behalf of SRI International of New York, for the Malaysian Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment.
